Subject: You’re a flippin’ idiot
Good morning my dear, naive friend,
I hope you’re enjoying a breakfast of regret and sorrow.
Why?
Because you sent me to work for Dean Harper, aka a control freak in a tailor-made suit. Sure he owns the trendiest restaurants in NYC, but c'mon Jo, his ego makes Kanye West look like the Dalai Lama.
He's the type of guy that only hears the word “no” when it's followed by “don’t stop.”
Working for Dean Harper would be like selling my soul to the devil…and before you say anything, I don’t care if the devil has punch-you-in-the-gut brown eyes and an ass to match. My soul isn’t for sale.
Love,
Regretfully yours,
Lily
The Allure of Dean Harper is a full-length standalone romance with overlapping characters from The Allure of Julian Lefray. Both books can be read separately. Chronologically, The Allure of Julian Lefray happens first.

"If only she and I could shut up for ten minutes, the sex would be the best of our lives. Angry. Hard. Fast. Not love. Not even close. War."
This book was just what I needed in between all the emotional reads; it was a fun, sexy and downright hilarious read! After finishing The Allure of Julian Defray few months ago, I was already looking forward to read Lily & Dean's story. Both of them are driven with passion and stubborn as hell, the snarky banters between these two had the sexual tension exploding from the pages.
Lily Black just moved from a small town to New York with dreams of making it in the culinary industry. Her best friend, Josephine (from the first book) is helping her to settle down while she's job hunting. In comes Julian's best friend also, Dean Harper who's one of top restaurateurs in NY and he's at the top of his game. These two crossed paths one night when Lily found her way into Dean's restaurant, took over his bar with her badassery cocktail mixing skills and raking in more profits than ever. Dean however, wasn't all too happy about it.
"Lily had her first night at Provisions last night and she turned my bar into a Coyote Ugly knockoff."I had so much fun reading this book especially with Lily's POV! She's got spunk and she's a little spitfire who stands her ground and won't let anybody step on her. Both of them can't stand each other even when they have to work on the same team. They both know that they're equally good at what they do but refuses to acknowledge or give into each other. Put these two in the same room and the chemistry is so palpable that it's begging to explode!
"Why is it customary for me to buy women drinks when they want to get in their pants? You know what will drop my pants? Crunchy tuna rolls."Watching these two butting heads was definitely one of the best parts of the read for me and perfect for readers who love a good enemies to lovers trope. It's funny, infuriating at times but also has its heartwarming moments when these two start to realize the influence they had on each other.
Overall I really enjoyed this one and I absolutely cannot wait to see where this author will head next with this series!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
I am a lover of books, chocolate, reality TV, black labs, and cold weather. Seriously, if I had it my way, I would be curled up on the couch with all of those things... everyday.
I live in Texas where I spend my free time writing and reading. My favorite authors include Mindy Kaling & Jonathan Safran Foer. I'm a comedy geek and love all things "funny". Women like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Mindy Kaling are definitely the biggest inspirations for my writing, though I think my work tends to skew a bit smuttier than theirs.
