Cole Masten. Abandoned by his superstar wife, Hollywood’s Perfect Husband is now Hollywood’s Sexiest Bachelor: partying hard and screwing even harder. Watch out Los Angeles, there's a new bad boy in town.

Summer Jenkins. That’s me, a small town girl stuck in Quincy, Georgia. I cook some mean chicken and dumplins, can bluff a grown man out of his savings in poker, and was voted Most Friendly my senior year.

We were from different worlds. Our lives shouldn’t have collided. But then Cole Masten read a book about my small town. And six months later, his jet landed on our dusty airstrip, and he brought Hollywood with him.

From the start, I knew he was trouble. For our town. And for me.

Sometimes, opposites just aren’t meant to attract.

Wow. Who would've thought the erotica writer Alessandra Torre has gift in writing Contemporary Romance too! I'd first starting reading Torre's books back in the erotica days of Brad DeLuca (swoon) in the Innocence Series. Since that time, my interest in erotica has waned a bit, feeling like it's evolving to all sex and no story. I've been focusing more on CR for the stronger depth of plot- so when I'd seen she was writing a CR novel, I couldn't wait to snatch it up.

What I loved most about Hollywood Dirt is the entire background of the story- the details of Quincy, Georgia and all that little town encompasses. Summer Jenkins lives in the quaint town of Quincy with her mother (yep, not much going in in her dating life, obviously). Living in the old slaves quarters on a large plantation, she feels a certain detachment to the residents after an ugly breakup with her ex- the town attorney. A town full of gossip mom gets, she's looking forward to the attention being on something other than her past. Quincy was a quiet, peaceful existence until Hollywood comes a knockin' to film a blockbuster movie. The star of the show- Cole Masten. Sex on a stick, uber famous, and when she meets him, he's a royal, yet irresistible pain in the arrogant ass.

Hollywood Dirt started out kind of slow for me but I realized later that it's done in order to build a firm foundation to the daily quirks that is Quincy Georgia and that of Southern living. A wealthy yet old fashioned town, they're set in their proper southern ways and this movie causes all sorts of chaos to their otherwise non-eventful town. So this slow build had me anxiously anticipating Cole and Summer's meeting (which wasn't until about 25% into the book). The meeting didn't go well... Let's just say prim and proper Southern gals don't take well to rude and pushy egotistical movie stars! Her ability to put him in his place was epic! Did he just expect her to pass out at his feet from his meet pressmecs in her home? Not by a long shot... I love a strong heroine! And she was one spitfire Cole didn't see coming.

That smile thing. It's creepy." "Ten million Americans would disagree with you." "Then ten million Americans are idiots."

When Cole realizes Summer is the perfect fit for a headstrong Southern woman role in the movie, he doesn't anticipate the lengths it's going to take to get her to agree, much less the effort to simply get along with her. But the sexual chemistry! HOMG. It was sizzling. Their early relationship truly depicts that fine line between love and hate and Alessandra Torre constructed the perfect mismatched couple with these two!

I can't forget to fangirl my reunion in this book to the ruthless divorce attorney Brad DeLuca (drool drool). That was such a bonus! In summary, Hollywood Dirt is an all-around enjoyable read with an endearing yet tough-as-nails heroine and an arrogant rich hero that's taken down a few pegs by said heroine. It's entertaining, a tad bit steamy and hilarious in parts. I love love love the chicken rooster named Cocky- such a cute addition to the storyline. I look forward to more from Ms Torre in the contemporary romance genre.
