ARC Review: Preppy (Part Two) by T.M Frazier

23 Jan 2017

Book Title: Preppy, Part Two
Author: T. M. Frazier
Series: King #6, Preppy #2
Release Date: January 24th, 2017
Genres: Dark Romance
Preppy finds himself back in a world he once loved, but no longer recognizes. His dim smile can’t hide his inner turmoil and the people he views as family all suddenly feel like polite strangers.

Except for one person. A girl with dark eyes and even darker hair.
A girl who isn’t even an option.

At least, not anymore.

Dre can’t decide who she’s going to listen to. Her heart, her head, or her body. Because two out of those three things have her heading right back to Logan’s Beach. Closure is what she tells herself she’s seeking, but when she unlocks doors that were never meant to be opened she soon discovers that when it comes to Samuel Clearwater, closure might NEVER be an option.

This is book six in the King Series and the second part of Preppy and Dre's story.

I swear if my heart wasn't already taken by King, I'd give it to Samuel Clearwater, aka Preppy. Preppy (Part Two) will tug at the ole heartstrings a bit more than the first installment. Both he and Andrea (aka Dre or Doc) have a lot of past "stuff" to work through...together AND apart so those readers looking for a constant Preppy/Dre plot line may find themselves crying for more time with them.

I personally really liked the direction TM Frazier took with this second installment in a three-part series. I feel we got a heavier dose of real life and heart and less of the violent, dark, gritty nature of some of these books. My inner romantic was swooning and my heart was breaking on more than one occasion throughout this book.

Dre really grew in Preppy Part Two. Though we as readers got equal amounts of reading time with both she and Preppy, I feel she was the rock that truly holds their story together- versus that of Part One. I really thought we'd get a sweet "walk off in the sunset" ending but, alas, no such luck and yes, this book ends in a mutha of a cliffhanger.

Until then, I'll be feverishly tapping my fingers waiting for that final installment in Preppy, The Life and Death of Samuel Clearwater.

T.M. (Tracey Marie) Frazier resides in sunny Southwest Florida with her husband and three feisty fur kids.

She attended Florida Gulf Coast University where she specialized in public speaking. After years working in real estate and new home construction, she decided it was finally time to stop pushing her dreams to the back burner and pursue writing seriously.

In the third grade she wrote her very first story about a lost hamster. It earned rave reviews from both her teacher and her parents.

It only took her twenty years to start the next one.
It will not be about hamsters.
